Eva Tansky Blum (LAW '73):
The Cathedral of Learning’s world-famous Nationality Rooms represent one of my
strongest memories of my experiences at Pitt. As a student, I
volunteered for Quo Vadis—Latin for “Where are you
going?”—an undergraduate organization that leads students, parents, and
other visitors on tours of the rooms. My favorites were the English Room, with its intricate woodwork and beautiful stained-glass windows,
and the French Room, with its gorgeous damask drapery and shining
parquet floors.
Today, I'm director of the PNC Foundation’s Grow-Up-Great Program, which
fosters early childhood education. We often bring partners and advisors
to Pitt to take tours of the Nationality Rooms. We love how they
celebrate the heritage and diversity of our city.
