UPG: Great Campus, Even Better Teachers

|

Founded in 1963 as a two-year institution in a single building in downtown Greensburg, Pa., Pitt-Greensburg flourishes today as a four-year degree-granting campus serving more than 1,700 students.

Pitt-Greensburg’s lovely wooded campus has expanded to include 18 new brick buildings, and plans are underway for an environmentally friendly “green” computer center.

The campus’s commitment to students’ academic experiences is evident in the 12 Pitt-Greensburg faculty members who have won the Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Teaching (Pitt’s highest honor for teaching) and in the campus’s Academic Villages, the University’s signature living/learning communities, which encourage experiential learning through extracurricular programs.
